BREAKING: Gunmen shoot and kill three policemen while targeting Apostle Suleman's convoy.

 


On Friday, armed men allegedly killed seven people, including three police officers, when they opened fire on Apostle Johnson Suleman's vehicle along the

Benin Auchi Road in the Edo State.

The PUNCH learned that Suleman had just returned from a trip abroad and was traveling through Edo State when gunmen ambushed his convoy near the Auchi region of the state.



Three of Suleman's police orderlies and four other people were allegedly killed when the attackers opened fire on his convoy during the attack.



The preacher had recently returned from a program in Tanzania, according to Suleman's attorney Samuel Amune, who also confirmed the incident to our correspondent. Amune also added that the cleric narrowly avoided death

He explained, "He was returning from a trip and was almost on the shores of Auchi when he was accosted by some assassins. Among others, three of his police officers died. He recently completed a program in Tanzania and has previously traveled.

He was on his way back to Auchi when the gunmen ambushed him along Sabingida down to the Warake area; Auchi and Warake share a direct border. He had so passed Warake and was now approaching Auchi's borders when the attack occurred.
