On Friday, October 14, a Federal High Court in Yola, the state capital, invalidated Aishatu Ahmed (Binanibid )'s to be the APC's candidate for governor of Adamawa state.
Binani's candidacy was declared null and illegal by Justice Abdulaaziz Anka in his decision on the complaint brought by Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
The high court judge also stated that the nomination of Sen. Aishatu Ahmed, also known as Binani, was clearly in violation of Section 85 of the Electoral Act because there was "manifest overvoting," in addition to pointing out that the primary was not in compliance with the 2022 Electoral Act, the country's constitution, and the party guidelines.
