Following a convincing 4-0 victory over New Zealand in their second Group B match on Friday, Nigeria's Flamingos resumed their pursuit of
the 2022 FIFA U-17 women's World Cup.The Flamingos entered the match having suffered a 2-1 defeat
to Germany in their opening group match.
According to Completesports, the Flamingos achieved their
well-deserved victory thanks to goals from Amina Bello, Miracle Usani, Taiwo
Afolabi, and Etim Edidiong in the first and second halves, respectively.
On the sixteenth minute, Bello, who was assisting Tumininu
Adeshina, headed in a cross for the Nigerian team to take a well-deserved lead.
Usani made it 2-0 in the 34th minute, and Afolabi added a
third goal with 15 minutes remaining.
According to CompletesPorts, Edidiong scored the final goal
to seal the victory in the 90th minute.
On Monday, October 17, 2022, the Flamingos will play Chile
in their final group match.
