Court condemns executive for being careless, rules IPOB
leader's kidnapping unlawful
Following the Court of Appeal decision that dismissed the terrorism charges brought against Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the
banned Indigenous People of Biafra, there was a hysterical celebration throughout the Southeast on Thursday.People in certain South-East states publicly rejoiced upon
hearing that Kanu had been released by the court. Kanu had been detained since
June 2021, when he was captured in Kenya and taken to Nigeria to stand trial
for allegedly running an illegal organization and calling for the Republic of
Biafra.
But there are clear signs that the Federal Government would
challenge the Court of Appeal's ruling.
